Frequently Asked Questions

What is IV therapy and how does it work?

IV therapy delivers fluids, electrolytes and vitamins directly into your bloodstream through a small catheter placed in a vein. Because it bypasses the digestive tract, the ingredients are available to your cells right away rather than being partially absorbed hours later. A Registered Nurse mixes your drip on site from our stock supplies, then monitors you throughout the session.

Who is a good candidate for IV therapy?

Generally healthy adults who are dehydrated, run down, jet lagged, recovering from a rough night, fighting a bug, training hard or simply looking for a vitamin top up are typical candidates. Your nurse will review your health history, current medications and any allergies before starting. If something in your history needs a closer look, the nurse can consult our medical director before proceeding. We do not treat anyone we do not feel is a safe candidate for a home visit.

What types of IV therapy do you offer?

Our core menu includes Replenish IV at $150, Revive IV at $175, Migraine Relief IV at $190, Renew IV (Myers Cocktail) at $220, Hangover Helper at $225 and the Immunity Booster at $325. We also offer NAD+ at $1 per mg with a 50mg minimum. Add-ons are $25 each and include Vitamin C, B12, B-Complex, Glutathione, Magnesium, anti-nausea, Benadryl and Pepcid.

Is IV therapy safe?

IV therapy is well established and, when placed by an experienced clinician, carries a low risk profile. Every IV at IV Revival is placed by a Registered Nurse, never an EMT, paramedic or technician, and our protocols are developed and overseen by a board-certified anesthesiologist medical director, Dr. Drew Davenport. Your nurse takes vitals, reviews your history and stays with you for the entire session. Anything mixed into your bag is drawn from company-supplied stock at the appointment, not from pre-packed syringes.

How long does an IV therapy session take?

Session length varies by drip and includes the initial health review, placing the line, running the drip and a short post-drip check. Your nurse will walk you through what to expect at the appointment.

How often can I get IV therapy?

It depends on the drip and the reason you are using it. Renew IV or Immunity Booster can be part of a regular routine, while hangover and migraine drips are usually used on an as needed basis. If you plan to come in regularly, our $39 per month membership drops the Renew IV from $220 to $160 with a three month minimum and no cancellation fee after that. Your nurse can help you build a cadence that makes sense.

How quickly can someone get to me?

Book online, by phone, text or email and we will confirm your visit. Our hours are 9 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week. Call or text (480) 848-1678 to reach us.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, all visits are by appointment so we can match you with a nurse, confirm your drip choice and route the closest team to your address. You can book by phone, text or email. Walk ins are not possible because we do not operate a storefront.

Where do you serve?

We are mobile only across the Phoenix metro, including Phoenix, Scottsdale, Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler, Tempe, Glendale, Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, Peoria, Ahwatukee and Avondale. There is no travel fee within a 40 mile radius of our Scottsdale base. A travel fee applies beyond the 40 mile radius. If you are unsure about your address, give us a call and we will confirm.

Can you come to a hotel or office?

Yes. Homes, hotels, short term rentals, offices and event spaces all work well for a home visit. If you are at a hotel, we simply need the property name, your room number and a good cell phone so the nurse can reach you on arrival. For offices, let us know if there is a private room or quiet area we can use.

What if I need to cancel?

We ask that you let us know as early as you can if plans change. Single person appointments cancelled close to the appointment time carry a $75 cancellation fee. To cancel or reschedule, call or text (480) 848-1678.

Who administers the IV?

Every IV is placed by an experienced Registered Nurse. We do not send EMTs, paramedics or technicians, and that rule has been in place since we opened in 2016. Our nursing protocols are developed and overseen by our medical director, Dr. Drew Davenport, a board-certified anesthesiologist with two decades of experience. Your nurse stays with you for the full session.

What are the potential side effects?

Most people tolerate IV therapy well. The most common effects are minor, such as a cool sensation as the fluid runs, mild bruising at the site or a vitamin taste in the mouth from B vitamins. Less common effects include lightheadedness or a small amount of localized irritation at the IV site. Your nurse will review the full list with you before starting and monitor you throughout.

Do I need a Good Faith Examination (GFE)?

Yes, a Good Faith Examination is part of our standard intake before any drip. Your Registered Nurse completes the review at the appointment, covering health history, current medications, allergies and vitals, under protocols set by our medical director.

Can IV therapy help with hangovers?

Rehydration, electrolytes and a few targeted vitamins are the classic answer to a rough morning, and that is what the Hangover Helper at $225 is built around. Add-ons available with this drip include anti-nausea, Benadryl and Pepcid.

What about recovery from illness?

When you are run down and behind on fluids, IV hydration paired with vitamins and minerals can support how you feel while your body does its own recovery work. The Immunity Booster at $325 is designed with this in mind.
