- Salmonella from eating undercooked meat or uncooked eggs
- Campylobacter from by eating undercooked meat, especially chicken
- Giardia intestinalis: a parasite from drinking contaminated water or eating food cooked in contaminated water

Food Poisoning Treatment and Relief
One of the most important things to do when you have food poisoning is to stay hydrated. All of the symptoms are designed to dehydrate you, so it’s essential you replace any lost fluids. However, we know that drinking or putting anything in your stomach may sound like a horrible idea. That’s why we recommend mobile IV therapy.
Our nurses will come directly to your home and administer the IV drip therapy fluid to rehydrate you and get you feeling better. Additionally, because all of our staff are registered nurses, there is no need to be embarrassed by any of your symptoms. They will help you through it and help you with the IV as needed.
If you do choose to get an IV, we recommend these vitamins and minerals to help you feel better, faster.
Vitamin B Complex for Food Poisoning Relief
B vitamins are important to keep up your energy and allow your immune system to function properly. Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is especially good at aiding your white blood cells when they’re fighting off diseases or infections. It also helps improve nausea, which makes it the perfect vitamin for food poisoning treatment.
Vitamin B12 also helps! It acts as an immunomodulator and increases the number of immune white blood cells to help boost your immune system. This can help you fight off your food poisoning faster, as well as help you feel less fatigued once it’s finally out of your system.
Vitamin C to Feel Better Faster
Vitamin C is a big immune system booster. It supports your immune system and allows it to adapt to infections faster, thus improving the rate at which your white blood cells fight off infections and diseases. When you take vitamin C in an IV, it bypasses your digestive tract for faster and more efficient absorption as well.
Glutathione to Reduce Inflammation
Glutathione is a powerful anti-inflammatory agent as it inhibits the production of most inflammatory molecules called cytokines. This not only helps treat the pain and aches associated with food poisoning, but also helps keep you from getting even more sick.
Zinc
Zinc allows a wide variety of immune functions including boosting the function of white blood cells responsible for both your immune system. Zinc even has some direct effects on your bug and may slow the reproduction of microbes.
Anti-Nausea & Anti-inflammatory Medication
Our IVs also can come with anti-nausea and anti-inflammation medication to help reduce your queasiness and your aches and pains. These medications work almost immediately and help block the transmission of signals from your brain that tells your body to throw up and to produce a pain response such as a headache or stomachache.
This is by far the quickest way to get your productivity back and back to feeling well enough to function.
All of our treatments may be customized. Please let us know if you have any questions or needs regarding your treatment selection.
