A Chat With IV Revival Owner Megan Jore

IV vitamin therapy exploded in popularity in the past year as celebrities, athletes, and the general populace discovered the benefits of optimizing your health. There are many options for you to choose from, but none of them are more dedicated to your wellbeing more than IV Revival.

As one of the first companies to offer at-home visits, IV Revival’s model is entirely based on serving you in a safe, timely, and experienced way. All of their nurses have years of experience in the medical field. Using their combined knowledge, they created a menu of vitamins and supplements designed to hydrate, boost your immune system, aid in chronic pain and illnesses, and more. For a full breakdown of their menu, see “How IV Revival Helps Optimize Your Health.”

Owner Megan Jore spent her first 9 years of her nursing career in the hospital; the majority of the time was spent working in the cardiovascular intensive care unit. After 9 years, Megan switched gears to outpatient surgery and also became the director of nursing for a plastic surgery center.

Along the way, she also became involved with IV Revival and was helping by administering IVs to people in need of hydration and supplements around the valley.

In April 2019, Megan became the owner of IV Revival.

Today, Megan answered some of the most pressing questions about IV therapy and IV Revival.

Q: What exactly is IV therapy?

A: IV therapy is the fastest way to administer fluids, medications, electrolytes, supplements, and vitamins to the body. IV therapy allows you to absorb close to 100% of what is being administered, compared to only 10-90% being absorbed if taken orally.

Q: How did you find out about IV Therapy?

A: Working in the hospital, it is uncommon to find a patient that isn’t receiving IV therapy. A lot of patients, especially in Arizona, are being admitted for dehydration. It got me thinking: wouldn’t it be great if there was a service available that allowed people access to IVs before becoming so dehydrated that they end up in the hospital?

Q: Do you do it? If so, how often?

A: I get an IV packed full of vitamin C and zinc anytime I feel a cold or sickness coming on. It gives my body the extra boost it needs to fight it off before it has time to slow me down. I also prep my body with the same type of IV before going on planes and traveling.

Q: Tell me, does IV therapy work?

A: Yes, IV therapy does work. By directly infusing the fluids and supplements into your bloodstream, you avoid the losses associated with absorption and the digestive tract. Plus, sometimes if you are sick or hungover, even the thought of a few sips of something seems impossible. IV therapy allows you to get the fluids you need without causing more nausea.

Q: Who does it benefit?

A: IV therapy has the ability to benefit everybody at some point in their life.

If you like to party, IV therapy can help you get over your hangover fast by helping to rehydrate you and deliver anti-nausea and anti-inflammatory meds right into your circulatory system.

If you are an athlete training hard, it may be difficult for you to orally take in the amount of fluids your body requires. We can also add in vitamins and supplements to help with energy, metabolism and cell repair.

As people age they have a diminished thirst sensation making them prone to dehydration. IV therapy quickly and safely helps to keep them adequately hydrated.

Q: So what sets IV Revival apart from others?

A: What sets IV Revival apart from the others is the individualized experience and customer service we strive to provide to all of our clients.

IV Revival only hires experienced RN’s. Our medical director is an anesthesiologist and is available by phone anytime we have a treatment being administered.

All of our supplements come from specialty compounding pharmacies to ensure you are receiving the freshest and purest available.

Q: Is there anything you want to say to people who are afraid of the treatment?

A: One of the biggest reasons I hear for people being afraid to try IV therapy is their fear of needles. The needles we use are tiny and the poke happens so fast you will barely feel it. The majority of our nurses are either currently working in or have years of past experience in emergency departments or intensive care units so they are experts at starting IVs, even on the most difficult of veins.

Q: Do you have anything to say to those who don’t believe it has any benefits?

A: Try it and then let me know what you think.

Q: Finally, is there anything you want to say to your customers?

A: When IV Revival first started, it was one of the only companies offering mobile IV hydration services. Today there are a lot more companies to choose from and it is becoming much more common for doctor offices, spas and gyms to offer the service.

To our customers that have been with us from the beginning, thank you for the support and for spreading the word about our company.

To our new clients, thank you for choosing us and seeing and spreading the word about how we are different from the other companies.

My biggest thanks goes to the nurses and coordinators that I have the pleasure of being on a team with. Without them and their expertise and commitment to providing a top notch client experience from booking to completion of treatment, there would be no IV Revival.
