Celebrate Mom with the Perfect Mother’s Day

Sunday, May 8 is Mother’s Day! Make it the perfect Mother’s Day this year by doing something different and special for mom. We gathered a few ideas that will be sure to surprise your mom.

Offer Yard and Garden Services

Does your mom hate gardening? Does she love it? We have options for both! If you’re local, take mom to your local plant nursery, pick out a few flowers, and both of you can plant them together in her garden. This is a wonderful bonding experience that is guaranteed to have your mom smiling every time she looks out and sees the flowers you planted together.

If your mom isn’t a fan of gardening, you can put on some gloves and clear up her lawn for her. If you’re not local, you can hire a one-time (or recurring) service to keep her yard and garden clean, manicured, and fresh. She will love how much free time you saved her by doing this!

We recommend planting some spring bulbs so they are at their most beautiful in the summer.

Decorate Your Mom’s Door

This is a fun and unexpected one. If you’re local, sneak out early in the morning and decorate your mom’s front door, then invite her to brunch. Chances are, she’ll open the door and be floored by what you’ve done! The brunch will just be the icing on top of the cake.

We recommend making your own wreath (or buying one) filled with spring and summer colors and flowers. If you want to include your kids, bring streamers and potted flowers to hang and leave by the door. If your mom has a porch hook, hanging flowers or plants are a wonderful touch as well!

Go Traditional with Flowers

Of course, flowers and plants are always a delight. If you’re local, deliver plants to her porch in person. If you’re not local, there’s always delivery in most places (but order well enough ahead)!

If you’re buying cut flowers, look up the symbolic meanings of common flowers to subtly tell your mom you love her. You can write a card to go with them to explain each of their meanings too, that way mom doesn’t miss just how much you care for her.

If you have kids, or if you have siblings, you can fill the bouquet with their monthly birth flowers as well!

IV Before to Hype You Both Up

If you want to do something really special for mom, make sure you’re both ready, energized, and hydrated enough to enjoy it with an IV. We recommend our mobile Myer’s Cocktail — we’ll come to you so you don’t have to worry about Mother’s Day traffic!

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is essential to support your immune system. While it doesn’t prevent colds or flus, it can shorten upper respiratory infections by up to a day. However, a study conducted by the Harvard Medical School suggests that taking 200mg of vitamin C can reduce athletes’ chances of getting a cold by half.

It is a strong antioxidant that can increase your blood’s antioxidant levels by up to 30%. It can help battle high blood pressure, fight heart disease, reduce blood uric acid levels, and can help prevent gout.

B Complex And B-12

One of the benefits of the Myers cocktail is its ability to fight fatigue. This is due to the high concentration of B vitamins. B vitamins are essential in helping you feel energized and alert. They also promote a healthy metabolism and B vitamins play a key role in reducing stress too.

Magnesium

Magnesium is the core nutrient of the Myers Cocktail due to its healing effects. It promotes physical health, treats migraines, muscle spasms, fibromyalgia, and more. Magnesium is also your body’s building block for energy creation, protein formation, gene maintenance, muscle movements, and nervous system regulation.

Make Mom a Video, or a Playlist,

Make mom something she will cherish for years and record a video from all of the children. You can each say “Happy Mother’s Day” and why you all appreciate her. You can always use iMovie to splice videos together on your phone or a free movie editor that comes with your computer.

You can also make her a music playlist. It can be all of her favorite songs, mixes that bring back memories, calming sounds for bedtime, a gardening playlist, a workout playlist, and so much more.

Recreate Your Childhood Art/Photos!

We saved one of the best for last. Mom will surely love this one: recreate either one of your childhood art pieces that she loves, or recreate a family photo (or photos) from when you were a baby! Frame the photos side-by-side and present it to mom — she will sure to get a laugh!

Or include her in the photoshoot! Buy her an outfit and take her to a similar location where a photographer is waiting. Surprise her with a round of normal photos and then hit her with the recreation. She will love it, we guarantee it!

Happy Mother’s Day!
