June 21 is Father’s Day, which means it’s the perfect day to spend with dad. You can hang out and BBQ, go golfing, hiking, fishing — whatever your dad prefers. At IV Revival, we’re all about golfing, even in the summer heat. Today, we wanted to share our tips for how to prepare for and enjoy a nice golf outing with dad on his special day.
Rest Up The Night Before Father’s Day
If you have trouble sleeping, then take extra care the night before the planned out to get a full night’s sleep. You can try magnesium as a natural relaxant.
Magnesium is wonderful at combating insomnia, as it essentially prepares your body for rest.
How does it work? Magnesium acts as a natural calcium blocker to help muscles relax after a workout or stressful day. It can also help soothe contractions and spasms.
Magnesium also helps you produce melatonin, which is a common sleep aid supplement.
Try B Vitamins for Better Sleep
Research suggests good levels of vitamins B3, B5, B6, B9 and B12 may help achieve good sleep. All of them help regulate your body’s levels of the amino acid tryptophan, which helps the body produce sleep-inducing melatonin. B12 and B9 are both great at fighting insomnia too!
Additionally, a lack of vitamin B5 can interrupt your sleep.
You can get vitamin B12 and B Complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, biotin, B9, and B12) all at IV Revival. Because B vitamins are water soluble and because you need so many different kinds, it’s easier to get them through an IV while you learn how to integrate them into your diet. Our mobile IV therapy service sends nurses directly to your home. They’ll administer the IV and treatments are all quick and easy.

Give NAD+ a Try to Feel Younger
You may think you’re too old to spend hours in the sun or walking a golf course. Your body may surprise you. If you want to try, then you should consider taking NAD+ the day or two before your big golf outing.
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a coenzyme. It fuels reduction-oxidation reactions. Basically, it means NAD+ is great at increasing your resistance to stress and reduces inflammation.
What really matters here is that it’s designed to help you feel younger. In other words, it’s designed to slow your aging process by protecting your DNA. Combined with the anti-inflammation properties, it’s meant to keep you looser, keep you mood elevated, and helps you enjoy your day.
Protect Yourself From the Sun!
It’s essential to protect yourself as much as you can from the sun too. So when you go outside, be sure to apply sunscreen about 10-30 minutes before. Choose a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and re-apply it every 2-3 hours you’re outside. If you take vitamin C before, it can help boost the power of your sunscreen too!
Vitamin C is an antioxidant that can be used as a photoprotection, meaning it can assist in blocking sun damage. For even more protection, add vitamin E too! It will slightly boost the effectiveness of the sunscreen and vitamin C.
In this study, subjects took either two grams of Vitamin C combined with 1000 IU of d-alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E) or a placebo. The group that took the vitamins saw significantly reduced sun damage than the group that took the placebos.
Wear Appropriate Clothing
Hats, sunglasses, and shorts. Seriously, the top of your head will thank us later.
Stay Hydrated!
As always, stay hydrated. Being out in the sun can dry you out, but being active in the sun can do so even faster. Staying hydrated will help you stay loose and stay cool. Without it, you could start feeling dehydrated, which can easily ruin your day.
Here are the main symptoms of dehydration:
-
Feeling thirsty — this may sound obvious, but when you physically feel thirsty it is a clear sign that you are dehydrated
-
Feeling tired, faint or dizzy
-
Dark urine
-
Muscle cramps
You can get all of the above at IV Revival with our hydrating mobile IV treatments. Our team of registered nurses will come to you, no matter where you are. We’ll get you set up and hooked up without any worry so you and your dad can enjoy Father’s Day together.
