Key City Mobile IV 2023: Unlocking the Future of On-Demand Healthcare

What is IV Therapy?

IV Revival is the premium mobile IV therapy service in the Phoenix Valley. We’re one of the first in the city who helped pave the way for 100% mobile services. We offer a variety of menu choices to help alleviate migraines, dehydration, hangovers, chronic pains and illness, fatigue, depression, and so much more. We also help boost performance in athletes by optimizing their vitamin, supplement, mineral, electrolyte, and hydration intake.

In this guide, we’ll discuss how IV therapy works, what its benefits are and how you can get started.

What is IV Therapy?

IV therapy is a delivery method for fluids and medication. “IV” stands for intravenous, which means it’s administered through the veins. The fluid contains vitamins and minerals or medication. It is delivered directly into your bloodstream, which allows for faster absorption and allows your body to get the nutrients it needs without relying on your digestive tract.

Why directly into the bloodstream? There are a few reasons behind it. The most prevalent one is that your digestive tract is unreliable. Some nutrients are very hard for it to absorb under normal conditions. For example, glutathione, a powerful antioxidant, digests poorly and actually lose nutritional value when cooked.

At IV Revival, we do not administer medication — this practice is usually saved for hospitals, hospice, or home-care facilities. We do, however, have a team of registered nurses with years of experience in the industry who are ready to help you. They come to your home whenever you need them, so you don’t have to worry about travelling to a clinic.

What’s in Our IV Bags?

We mentioned a few things that go into our IV therapy treatments, so now it’s time to get into the specifics.

The PH-Balanced Fluid

The primary liquid in our IV therapy treatments is saline. It’s a solution of salt and water and is the most common type of IV fluid. It’s great for dehydration. AT IV Revival, we add electrolytes in there as well.

Electrolytes are essential minerals—like sodium, calcium, and potassium—that are vital to many key functions in the body. They help treat dehydration and boost your body’s performance, which is why they’re commonly found in sports drinks!

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is a powerhouse that is commonly known for shortening the duration of a cold or the flu. Beyond that, it also helps boost your immune system to increase resistance to infections and diseases.

B Complex and B12

Our Vitamin B12 is five times more potent than most to help you get back on your feet after a poor night’s sleep. B vitamins not only help fight fatigue, but they promote a healthy metabolism, reduce the risk of stroke and heart disease, and improve memory, mood, blood, DNA, and immune function.

Magnesium

Magnesium is essential for your health and comes in many forms. At IV Revival, we use magnesium to help soothe headaches and migraines, as well as ease the symptoms of  asthma, muscle spasms, fibromyalgia, menstrual cramps, constipation and high blood pressure.

Glutathione

Glutathione boosts your immune system by building and repairing tissues. It also helps combat the toxic effects of alcohol and drugs; prevents aging; treats multiple sclerosis, asthma, cancer, heart disease, liver disease, fatigue, memory loss, and so much more!

Zinc

Zinc is an essential enzyme that facilitates healing. It helps maintain cell growth, repair skin (especially burns), and hydrates your skin. Like vitamin C, zinc can help shorten the duration of the cold and flu.

Zinc also increases cognitive and immune function and exercise performance.

Curcumin

Curcumin is a natural anti-inflammatory found in curry. It helps fight cancer, treats inflammatory digestive diseases, arthritis and autoimmune disease, prevents vascular plaque build up and reduces the risk and side effects of diabetes.

Taurine

Taurine is an amino acid that occurs naturally in the body. Taurine aids in boosting cognitive function and athletic performance. It also helps decrease anxiety, helps with weight loss, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease.

NAD+ (50mg, 100mg)

Nicknamed the fountain of youth, NAD+ is important in repairing your DNA. Benefits include general wellness, anti-aging and muscle health, improved neurological function and memory, detox, and pain management.

Anti-inflammatory

Our anti-inflammatory medication helps relieve pain, headaches, fevers, and joint soreness. It’s 100% natural and filled with essentials like magnesium. The best part? It works instantly.

Anti-nausea

Our anti-nausea remedy works instantly to help relieve nausea, and vomiting. Our nurses will come right to you as well, so you don’t have to worry about driving or travelling to a clinic.

Anti-heartburn

We also offer heartburn supplements to ease your discomfort.

The Benefits of IV Therapy

IV therapy has many benefits. You can choose to feel them all in the Myer’s Cocktail (B vitamins, vitamin C, magnesium, and — in some clinics — calcium), or you can pick and choose what will go into your IV for a completely customized experience. None of our IVs are premade — everything is made by your nurse during your appointment.

If you need help choosing, IV therapy can help with all of the following.

Fights Fatigue

A common cause of fatigue stems from B-12 deficiency, especially in older adults. The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey estimated that 3.2% of adults over age 50 have a seriously low B12 level, and up to 20% may have a borderline vitamin B12 deficiency.

Therefore, simply taking vitamin B12 can combat the symptoms of a deficiency, including fatigue! The science behind it is simple: vitamin B helps convert food into glucose, which gives you energy naturally.

Fights Depression

Vitamin B6 has been found to improve depressive symptoms when used in combination with other nutrients, including tryptophan and nicotinamide.

Vitamin B12 has also been shown to reduce symptoms in people with Major Depressive Disorder when used alongside antidepressants. A 2020 review similarly suggested that taking vitamin B12 supplements early may delay the onset of depression and improve the effects of antidepressant medications.

Zinc

Zinc is strongly linked to how severe depression and its symptoms are! One analysis of 17 studies found that people with lower levels of zinc exhibited stronger symptoms of depression than those with normal levels, suggesting the zinc deficiency can be a factor in depression.

Similarly, a review found that when participants took zinc supplements alongside their antidepressant medications, they experienced significantly lowered depressive symptoms.

Weight Loss

Taurine is essential if you want to lose weight or if you want to boost your performance in the gym.

Taurine has been shown to remove waste products that lead to fatigue and cause muscle burn. It also protects muscles from cell damage and oxidative stress.

What’s more, it increases fat burning during exercise. Trained athletes, such as cyclists and runners, have been able to cover longer distances with less fatigue when they add taurine into their routine.

Anti-Aging

There is no such thing as the Fountain of Youth, but NAD+ is coming close to it. Studies have shown that groups of animals introduced to NAD+ experienced improved lifespans, better health, boosted stress resistance, and reduced inflammation.

Immunity Boost

Vitamin C and zinc are both essential if you want to feel better, faster. Multiple studies have shown the correlation between taking either and feeling better faster.

Glutathione

We call glutathione the “mother of antioxidants” for a reason. It can stop the flu in its tracks, help relieve migraines, keep your skin and hair healthy, reduce oxidative stress, and so much more.

Emory University School of Medicine found that glutathione could protect against the production of the flu virus before the virus multiplied numerous times. In other words, it stops the virus from spreading in your system before it becomes a major problem!

How Long Does IV Therapy Take?

IVs are administered at a controlled rate, meaning they usually take about 45-60 minutes to complete. If you don’t have an hour and need a quick pick-me-up, then you can try one of our vitamin shooters.

Our shooters are an intramuscular injection that takes about one minute. You can get a shot of B12, anti-nausea, or anti-inflammatory.

Where to Get IV Therapy

You can get IV therapy at a few places, depending on your needs.

Hospitals

Many patients at hospitals undergo some type of IV therapy, typically in addition to some other kind of treatment. They are primarily used to deliver medication to patients or rehydrate them. People treated with IV therapy at a hospital are either there for an emergency or as an inpatient.

Urgent Care Centers

Depending on the reason for your visit, you may receive IV therapy at an urgent care center.

Urgent care centers can handle some more minor emergencies. For example, if you need stitches, you may opt to go to an urgent care center instead of a hospital emergency room. Urgent care centers are typically less expensive than hospitals.
